GIFTS TO THE LIBRARY

The women's clubs of Lynchburg contributed money to help with the purchase of a new desk for the Lynchburg Branch Library.

The members of the Leesburg Wednesday Club have shown their continuing interest in the Leesburg Branch Library by contributing money to help with the purchase of a new desk for the Leesburg Branch,

The Hillsboro Branch of the Highland County District Library has received a 3-M Photo-copier purchased with Library Services funds by the State Library.

The members of the Southwestern Ohio Rural Libraries Council have made arrangements for each member library to establish holdings of back issues of certain assigned periodicals so that all the periodicals indexed in Reader's Guide will be available to the libraries in the district.

Rather than send the periodicals on interlibrary loan, the State Library felt it would be better to reproduce the required articles. Since the federal funds were available a photo-copier was purchased for each county represented in the Council. A small fee will be charged for-each page of material copied.  Articles from periodicals, books, encyclopedias, atlases and other library material can be reproduced.

This annual report has been reproduced on the photo-copier.

A number of clubs and individuals have made gifts to the Library Memorial fund in the amount of $198.55- This money has' been used for the purchase of books. Gifts of books were also received. The Memorial Fund and gift books were responsible for the addition of two hundred and thirteen new books added to the collection*
