The Salatin Semester is a 12-week course in how to develop and maintain a small family farm that produces a variety of products. The course was written and produced by Joel Salatin et. al., and uses his farm, Polyface Farm, as a model.
Topics include (but are not limited to): irrigation, fencing, on-farm processing, relationship marketing, multi-use infrastructure, ideal farm layout, leasing farms & adding subcontractors, salad bar beef, pastured layers, pastured broilers, etc.
Our course instructor is Ted Rosenmayer.
