Summer Reading Starts June 1!

This year's theme is: "We're all in this together!" Check out what's happening at your branch! 

Hillsboro

Children's Department: For "Camp Read-A-Lot," kids ages 2-14 can sign up for a reading log. For every book that they read, they can color in a spot on the log. Every ten books will earn them a place in a drawing. They can earn up to five entries by reading. If they finish early, they can also complete a reading bingo card for another drawing entry. 

Teens/Adults: Every book read equals a slip in our weekly drawing! Patrons can also complete a reading bingo card for a small prize.

All Ages: Coloring contest + On Facebook: Weekly craft/activity videos on and weekly polls.

Greenfield

Reading logs are available for kids, teens, and adults.  Kids will receive a goody bag when they finish their log and also go into a drawing for big prizes. Teens and adults who finish their logs will go into a drawing for gift cards and other prizes. 

Other programs and activities may be announced throughout the summer.

Leesburg

Kids can sign up and receive a reading log. Once they finish the log, they will receive a prize. If by the end of July, they are not done with the log, but they finished at least one section, they get a participation prize. A monthly craft will be available for ages 12 and under. Also, patrons of all ages can test their knowledge with monthly trivia questions. 

Lynchburg

Every kid who completes a reading log will get a prize. Teens and adults can fill out a slip for each book they read. Those slips will be entered in a drawing for prizes. 

Rocky Fork

Come pick up reading logs, as well as craft kits throughout the summer!
